Unit’s description and purpose:

The Communications and Brand unit positions Fairtrade as a trusted and inspiring global brand by protecting its reputation, raising its visibility, increasing consistency across markets, and persuading audiences to choose our label.

PRINCIPAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Co-develop marketing-communications strategy and yearly plans in collaboration with global product managers and National Fairtrade Organisations
  • Create marketing-communications material towards commercial partners
  • Support development of Fairtrade’s value proposition
  • Support global product managers with development of trade shows materials and assets
  • Advice on competitor’s analysis
  • Track and analyse marketing-communications performance indicators
  • Undertake other tasks consistent with the level and responsibility of this role

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Level of education: The position holder will have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or another relevant field.

Years of professional experience: A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a relevant area of work.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • This is a full-time position within Fairtrade International
  • Location is at Fairtrade International offices in Bonn, Germany with the opportunity for hybrid work arrangements
  • The office language is English
  • Salary as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Wholesale and Foreign Trade Industries for North Rhine Westphalia Group VIa and over tariff payments, starting from 5,301.00 Euros gross per month
